What I’m looking forward to most in this movie are Robert De Niro’s facial expressions: without saying a word, he says it all. From director John Hamburg comes the fourth movie about the Focker family, 16 years after Little Fockers. It opens on November 25, just in time for Thanksgiving weekend.
The Story
Now the tables have turned: Henry, the son of Greg Focker (Ben Stiller), is all grown up and has a girlfriend, Olivia (Ariana Grande). And with her comes a new family to meet, with Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro), cinema’s most feared father-in-law, always watching.
A Legend Who Still Makes Us Laugh
At 82, Robert De Niro returns as Jack Byrnes, the former CIA agent who turned every family gathering into an interrogation. Seeing him in this role again is a gift for those of us who grew up with Meet the Parents.
Familiar Faces and a New Addition
Ben Stiller, Blythe Danner, Teri Polo and Owen Wilson return, with Wilson as Kevin, Pam’s ex-fiancé. The big news is Ariana Grande, who plays Olivia, a former FBI negotiator. With that experience, will she pass Jack Byrnes’s test?
