Luxury cars, Italy and Al Pacino: this movie has every ingredient to win me over. Maserati: The Brothers tells how an Italian family created one of the most elegant car brands in the world, with a cast of Hollywood legends.
The Story
The Maserati brothers found their company, turn it into a luxury name in sports cars and compete with Ferrari and Lamborghini. Al Pacino plays Vincenzo Vaccaro, the businessman who believed in the family and invested in its early years. It is directed by Bobby Moresco, who also directed Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend, making it the perfect chance to discover the stories of two great Italian rivals.
A Cast of Legends in Italy
The movie was filmed in Italy: in Modena, home of Maserati, in Bologna and at the famous Cinecittà Studios in Rome. Alongside Al Pacino are Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia and Jessica Alba, while Michele Morrone plays Alfieri Maserati, one of the brothers. Behind the scenes: up to 60 cars were built for the movie, recreated from Maserati models of the 1920s and 1930s. Plus, Diane Warren, the songwriter behind many hit songs, is writing an original song for the film.
