On a quiet stretch of the Caribbean coast, a different way to travel is taking shape. Park Hyatt Riviera Maya, the first all-inclusive resort from Park Hyatt worldwide, Hyatt's most luxurious brand, will open its doors in early 2027 with a concept that takes ultra-luxury to another level: a contemporary retreat where the only plan is to enjoy. It is, without a doubt, the destination at the top of my next travel list.
Having called the Riviera Maya home for years, I look at this new concept with special interest. Its location, between Cancún and Puerto Morelos, offers a privileged gateway to the region's natural wonders, along the road to Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Hyatt, the American hotel company headquartered in Chicago, already knows the all-inclusive world of the Mexican Caribbean well, but this is the first time it brings it to the level of its most exclusive brand, and I'm curious to see how it comes to life.
A modern retreat with a Mexican soul
The concept features open, light-filled spaces in dialogue with the work of Mexican artisans and a carefully curated art collection, so the contemporary design feels warm and authentic. The rooms and suites promise to be spacious and serene, and from them the journey will extend beyond the beach, toward the cultural richness of the Yucatan Peninsula.
What caught my attention
An intimate scale: just 148 rooms and suites, some with private pools facing the Caribbean Sea.
A personal ambassador: assigned before your arrival, so every detail of your stay is taken care of.
Velara Spa: a wellness sanctuary with hydrotherapy, designed to restore body and mind.
Championship golf course: El Tinto, for those who never travel without their clubs.
Pillow menu and premium bath amenities: small luxuries that will make all the difference in your rest.
A table to discover
With seven restaurants and bars, each with its own personality, the culinary offering promises to be more than a service: a journey in itself, inspired by the flavors of the region and guided by its chefs. Each of these spaces deserves its own story, and at E Weekly News we'll be ready to tell it.
