Its atmosphere invites you to slow down, walk along the ocean and enjoy the coast without filling your day with activities. It’s one of those places where you can arrive wanting to clear your mind and let the sound of the waves set the rhythm of your visit.

For an easy arrival, I recommend parking near Bull Memorial Park, an outdoor recreation center just two blocks from the beach, turning a short outing into a little getaway. It’s what I love most about this stretch of coast: in just a few steps, you go from a residential neighborhood to a laid-back beach scene.

And while its daytime calm is irresistible, the night holds a surprise: with less glow from the city, the full moon looks intensely beautiful here, unlike at other Jacksonville beaches. Watching it rise over the ocean and shimmer on the water is a sight I recommend 100%.
