Every Bite Tells a Story at EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival

What if you could travel the world in one afternoon, one plate at a time? That’s the promise of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, running this year from August 27 to November 21.

Flavors from around the world

The heart of the festival is its Global Marketplaces, small booths spread across the park, each dedicated to a country or a cuisine; between 32 and 36 are expected this year. The idea is to try small bites as you stroll through World Showcase.

More than food

Music has its place too, with the Eat to the Beat concert series at the America Gardens Theatre, included with park admission. And for cheese lovers, Emile’s Fromage Montage returns: a food stroll where you collect stamps in your festival passport.

My tip: go hungry, but don’t rush. Sharing dishes with whoever joins you lets you taste more countries in a single visit.

As a lifestyle journalist, I’ve rarely seen so many cultures come together in one place. Whether you live in Florida or you’re traveling to Orlando, there’s still time: the festival ends on November 21.
